A show that gives the gritty residents of an East London Tower Block, that is due for demolition, a stage, through their wickedly eloquent voices we are thrust into their stories, held by the scruff of the neck, and made to listen.

The show began at the Etcetera Theatre in Camden, London. It was performed 2 weeks before Christmas and went under the radar of most critics and papers. At the start of 2017 the show went through some re-writes and Unpolished Theatre applied for the Charlie Hartill Special Reserve Fund at The Pleasance Theatre and won. This meant that The Pleasance Theatre gave the company £10,000 in kind and a venue at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2017. It was there that the show gained great success. It won a Scotsman Fringe First award for outstanding new writing in its first week, the Holden Street Theatres' Edinburgh Fringe Award and a Sell Out show award. It also gained over 15 four and five star reviews. Which can all be read on our 'press' page.
In late 2017 it was developed inside the National Theatre Studio. In February 2018 it toured internationally to the Adelaide Fringe in Australia after winning the HST award. Its was there where the show was awarded with a Critics Circle Award and the Overall Best Theatre Award of the entire festival. In July 2018 it had its London Transfer to Soho Theatre where it gained more critical acclaim and five Off West End Nominations for Most Promising New Playwright, Best Directors, Best Male Performance in a Play (Elliot Warren), Best Female Performance in a Play (Olivia Brady) and Best Production.
In April 2019 Flesh and Bone then went on to win an Olivier Award in the Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre category.
